Johnson County, in the heart of North Central Texas and adjoining the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex, is a solidly Republican stronghold with all but one county office held by a Republican.
A headquarters building is maintained at 210 S Main Street in Cleburne, the county seat which provides a meeting place for various activities and organizations.
The party is active in community activities. being promoted in most of the major parades throughout the county each year. Two major fundraisers provide the funds necessary to maintain a headquarters and support the election and re-election of qualified Republican candidates in each election cycle.
The party operates under a by-laws approved by its Executive Committee and holds monthly meetings on the second Tuesday of each month.
